The Full Story

How it Started
Blame Mikey, it's easy and everybody does it. But in all seriousness, it started because we were feeling nostalgic. The three of us grew up in different places and at different times but we had so many experiences in common. Like going to Taco Bell after Garba or laughing at Diwali parties because one uncle had slightly too much to drink. We realized we want to create these kinds of memories for not only our friends and family but for anyone else who wants to join the shenanigans.

How its going
So far, we've had a positive response. We hosted a picnic in 2024 where we made new friends and re-connected with old ones. People seemed to have enjoyed themselves (but thats probably because of the Jell-O shots).
Its success led us to think bigger and bolder in 2025. We are hosting Cheers 'n Chutneys at 760 Craftworks on June 21st. We hope to follow that up with another event in the fall, but we are still in the planning stage for that. We have some ideas and are willing to take some big swings, we just need your engagement to make them happen.

What's Next?
That's up to you! Our vision is to connect people, typically, but not necessarily, with a Gujarati background. We want to find fun ways to get together, whether that's celebrating traditional Gujarati events like Navratri or American holidays where we eat, drink and hang out.

But in order to do that we need your support. You can support us simply by engaging. Show up with an open mind and be ready to have fun. Will it be perfect? probably not, but your positive attitude makes it better!
You can support us further by giving us feedback. What are we doing well? What could be better? What would you like to see in the future?
Finally, if you believe in what we are trying to do, consider donating. This is our passion project, but unfortunately it is usually not our top priority. Like everyone else, we have jobs/businesses, kids/parents, and a whole host of other responsibilities that come before we can devote any energy, ideas, time, or money. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!
